Hyland Announces Formation of Higher Education Advisory Board

Insights garnered from technology professionals will continue to grow Hyland Higher Education solutions

Hyland announces the formation of its Higher Education Advisory Board that joins industry experts who will share firsthand insights around trends, challenges and initiatives and drive future product developments. The board is comprised of more than 15 customers — chief information officers, vice presidents and directors who represent a range of institutions, from two-year community colleges to four-year public and private universities that span the country.

In addition to a knowledge sharing opportunity about how customers are currently using OnBase in higher education, the Board also provides a valuable network that serves as a forum for members to share peer-to-peer solutions such as advancing accessibility, maximizing existing CRMs and ERPs, developing product roadmaps, cloud strategies, cybersecurity and more. Members of the inaugural Hyland Higher Education Advisory Board include:

  • John M. Ellinger, Bowling Green State University
  • John McGuthry, Cal Poly Pomona
  • Chris Manriquez, California State University, Dominguez Hills
  • Sue Workman, Case Western Reserve University
  • Miro Humer, Cleveland State University
  • Gary Stanowski, Columbia College
  • Gerard Hourigan, Cuyahoga Community College
  • Rob Lowden, Indiana University
  • Mike Bestul, John Carroll University
  • Link Alander, Lone Star College System
  • Kirk Kelly, Portland State University
  • Adam R. Albina, Saint Anselm College
  • David Kieffer, The Ohio State University
  • Susan Hunter, The University of Alabama
  • David Seidl, University of Notre Dame

“Founding the Hyland Higher Education Advisory Board is an opportunity to gather technology executives from renowned institutions to convene to discuss the role that IT is playing in the future of education and innovation,” said Dave Vegh, director of sales and services for higher education at Hyland.

Board members will attend on-site and web-based meetings throughout the two-year term, including an intensive Executive Forum in April 2017 that will bring together technology leaders from high-level higher education and healthcare providers to share best practices — such as cybersecurity, server infrastructure strategies and customer experience — that span industry barriers.

“Connecting this group of IT professionals together fosters an inspiring atmosphere that will continue to grow how we support future initiatives focused on increasing administrative performance and delivering student success through our enterprise information platform technology,” said Vegh. “The knowledge exchanged within the group and heard by Hyland leaders, such as our Vice President of Development Bill Filion, is paramount to our success and, most importantly, the success of our customers.”
